The phenomenon of political leaders erroneously citing biblical passages to support Israel, a political entity, is both bewildering and revealing to us American Jews.

It is our duty as American Jews to set the record straight and affirm that Israeli leadership does not speak for American Jews or for Jews around the world.

Zionist institutions deliberately conflate Jews with the actions of the Israeli state, branding criticism of Israel as antisemitism to silence dissent and avoid accountability. This strategy not only fails to protect Jews but actively fuels resentment, creating the very antisemitism these groups claim to oppose.

Our stance against Zionism is routinely dismissed with the claim that “ninety five percent of Jews are Zionists anyway.” We are labeled a fringe group and even accused of siding with Jew haters. G-d forbid. Friends, let us pause and examine how deeply misleading this claim truly is.
