Are 95 Percent of Jews Really Zionists?

Our stance against Zionism is routinely dismissed with the claim that “ninety five percent of Jews are Zionists anyway.” We are labeled a fringe group and even accused of siding with Jew haters. G-d forbid. Friends, let us pause and examine how deeply misleading this claim truly is.

The Jewish opposition to Zionism did not begin after the creation of the State of Israel. It predates it. From the very birth of political Zionism, the concept of Jewish nationalism was rejected by the leading Torah authorities of the time. The most revered sages of the generation described it as a distortion of faith and a violation of core Torah principles. Their words are documented, recorded, and preserved. The Zionist definitions of Jewish identity and redemption directly contradict the most basic teachings of the Torah. These are not subtle disagreements. They undermine the very foundations of Judaism, redefining exile, distorting basic morality, and erasing what truly defines Jewish identity. There is no authentically observant Jew who would accept these redefinitions if presented honestly. This is elementary Judaism, taught in the earliest stages of Torah learning.

This naturally leads to a question. If so many Torah Jews oppose Zionism, why are their voices not heard more often? The answer is simple. Hundreds of thousands of Orthodox Jews live lives centered on Torah study, mitzvos, family, and community. Their days are devoted to learning, prayer, and fulfilling the commandments. They are generally not present on social media and do not live online.

For this reason, leading Torah sages of our time have formally entrusted recognized organizations such as ours to speak publicly on their behalf. We act with their knowledge, guidance, and endorsement to convey the authentic Torah position in the public sphere. These rabbinic endorsements are openly available for public review on our website. The figures most visible in the media and on social networks are rarely those who actually live by Torah law. They wear Judaism as a costume and wield it as a tool instead of living and believing in it.

We do not deny that Zionist institutions have invested immense effort into shaping public perception in Jewish communities all across the world. Through fear based messaging and relentless public relations campaigns, many Jews are pressured into offering support for Israel as a supposed refuge. This effort goes far beyond ordinary advocacy. It deliberately trains Jews who are generally unaware of Zionist tactics and have had a limited Jewish education to perceive any criticism of Israeli policy as a direct threat to their personal safety and sense of identity.

By amplifying isolated incidents, exaggerating dangers, and framing political debate as existential peril, Zionists create a climate of constant alarm solely for the benefit of Israel while using Jews as a means to their greater goal. The Zionist campaigns are sophisticated, well-funded, and far-reaching, which is precisely why our presence is necessary. Our mission is to expose these tactics, to speak with honesty, and to restore the voice of authentic Torah Judaism through reason, integrity, and truth.

This is not a fringe position. It is the historic position of Torah Jews since the inception of Zionism. It is rooted in faith, morality, and uncompromising loyalty to the teachings that have guided the Jewish people for generations.
