One of the Israeli governments’ said goals is to protect the Jewish people from antisemitism & fight any manifestation of it.
The question is: “Does the Israeli government and its leaders mitigate the hate directed towards the Jewish people?”
The answer is simple. No.
It is correct that Israel hides under the banner of ‘saving the Jewish people.’ However, the political ideology of Zionism has wreaked havoc on our people, and yes, all with the promise of ‘saving the Jewish people.’
The 3 key reasons ;
- Our research shows that Jews are subjected to an increase in hate attacks while Israel is at war. Since Israel calls itself a Jewish state, they are falsely associating Jews from all around the world with a foreign country, Israel. Jews are therefore viewed as a target for a war they have no part in. Israeli leaders purposely and directly promote the narrative of being the ’country of all Jews.’ This conflation of Judaism and Zionism increases antisemitism day by day.
- The primary concern as espoused by Zionists is to provide ‘a haven’ for the Jewish people. We need to step back on that claim. First, our brothers in the Holy Land are not protected by the government since it’s their nationalist agendas that always take precedence over their safety. Moreover, the State of Israel has seen more Jews killed than in all countries of the world combined. Yet, Israeli leaders exploit the instances when Jews in other countries are targeted because of being falsely associated with Israel, and tell them to come ‘home.’ Oh, the irony.
- Lastly, the most pernicious offshoot of Israel’s disingenuous claim of being a Jewish state, is the ensuing assumption that Jews have dual loyalty to Israel, a foreign country. This is not only false but also goes against the basic tenet of Judaism. The Prophet writes: ‘Seek the welfare of the country I have exiled you, for in its peace you will have peace’ – Jeremiah 29:7
The Jewish people have always been exceedingly devoted and loyal to our country of residence. However, Israel needs Jews as cannon fodder to cultivate their status of being a ‘Jewish state,’ despite the danger it imposes on the people they claim to protect.
May GD protect us from such ‘saviors.’
